What Business Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Business Analysis serves as a liaison between the organization's businesses and IT systems development teams to align business strategies and capability needs and to ensure IT systems enable their desired value. This job family identifies and analyzes business needs, defines requirements and objectives, and makes recommendations for solutions using new and existing technologies. This job family researches and documents relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices) and translates business requirements into application requirements.

Cardinal Health’s Master Data Information Systems technology team is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support multiple MDM applications, including Informatica IDMC, STEP PIM, and Bynder DAM. This role partners with business stakeholders, solution architects, technical leads, and development teams to define and manage requirements, support testing, improve processes, and enable reliable enterprise data capabilities.

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects

  • May contribute to the development of policies and procedures

  • Works on complex projects of large scope

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

  • Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives

  • Completes work; independently receives general guidance on new projects

  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives

  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, document, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements across MDM, PIM, DAM, and related enterprise data platforms.

  • Lead elicitation sessions and document user stories, process flows, wireframes, acceptance criteria, and business rules.

  • Partner with technical teams to evaluate solution options, align requirements to project scope, and support delivery decisions.

  • Coordinate functional, integration, and user acceptance testing, including test case review, execution support, and defect management.

  • Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams, helping drive alignment, prioritization, and stakeholder approval.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience, preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Anticipated salary range: $82,100 - $117,200
