TNMP is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to support the management, accuracy, and reliability of our metering assets and associated records. This role will have a primary focus on EPS metering assets and processes within Cascade and will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Watt-Net, TNMPs meter asset management system.

The position works across Metering, Engineering, Field Operations, IT Services, compliance teams, and external vendors to help ensure metering asset information is accurate, processes are consistently followed, and system data supports operational and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate combines a strong understanding of utility metering and asset management with the ability to manage data, troubleshoot system and process issues, support users, and continuously improve how metering assets are managed throughout their lifecycle.

SUMMARY:

This position serves as the business¿side metering asset management specialist for the Cascade Enterprise Asset Management/Computerized Maintenance Management System (EAM/CMMS) application, focused on EPS metering, and is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Watt Net. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate and reliable metering asset, equipment, and maintenance data by configuring system structures, inspections, triggers, and integrations that support maintenance planning, regulatory compliance, and operational decision-making. The position works closely with Engineering, Field Operations, IT Services, and external vendors to ensure the Cascade application functions effectively and aligns with business, operational, and compliance requirements. This is a functional application role and does not include IT infrastructure or database administration responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure and maintain Cascade application setup for EPS metering, including asset structures, locations, stations, equipment records, positions, inspections, triggers, and maintenance workflows.

  • Serve as the business side system owner for EPS metering configuration standards and data structure governance in Cascade and Watt¿Net.

  • Work with Engineering, Project Management, Field Operations, and other business groups to gather equipment and station information.

  • Build and maintain accurate metering equipment, station, location, and hierarchy records in Cascade, including nameplate data, classifications, and required attributes, and meter records in Watt Net.

  • Ensure metering assets are properly linked to positions and inspection programs so maintenance and compliance activities are generated correctly.

  • Support and maintain integrations between Cascade and related systems such as PowerBase, RTS, Cascade Mobile, and DTA. Coordinate with IT Services and the Cascade and Watt Net vendors to troubleshoot issues, test enhancements, support upgrades, and validate configuration changes prior to production deployment.

  • Ensure Cascade and Watt Net configuration and data entry adhere to established data governance standards, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.

  • Review and validate configuration changes to prevent adverse impacts to compliance reporting, maintenance schedules, and asset visibility.

  • Partner with data stewardship and compliance teams to support audits and data quality initiatives, including Watt¿Net test records.

  • Provide functional guidance and training to business users on proper Cascade and Watt¿Net usage and processes.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to configuration standards, system processes, and best practices.

  • Assist users in understanding how configuration and data entry affect maintenance execution, reporting, and compliance outcomes.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Advanced knowledge of EAM/CMMS and meter asset management systems, including configuration, asset hierarchy design, inspections, triggers, and maintenance workflows (Cascade and Watt Net preferred).

  • Strong understanding of utility metering asset management, including station and equipment data, maintenance programs, and operational dependencies.

  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation and translate technical and operational requirements into accurate system configuration and data structures.

  • Experience supporting application level integrations and coordinating testing and validation activities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality, system reliability, and compliance impacts.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical business users.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment while adhering to governance, audit, and compliance requirements.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Project Management, Field Operations, IT Services, and external vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
