Job Description:
The Liu Quantum Matter Lab in the Department of Physics at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for a postdoctoral research position focused on scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy of quantum materials. The successful candidate will lead experimental studies using ultra-low-temperature, high-magnetic-field STM / STS to investigate strongly correlated, topological, and low-dimensional quantum materials.
We seek a creative, independent, and highly motivated experimentalist with substantial hands-on STM / STS experience. Research responsibilities will include STM imaging and spectroscopy, sample and tip preparation, operation and troubleshooting of cryogenic and ultrahigh-vacuum instrumentation, data analysis, mentoring students, and preparing publications and presentations.
