Job Duties
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software QA Tester for a contract position with a Large Energy Company located in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
Pay range: $70.00 - $72.60 per hour
This position focuses on evaluating and testing software for completeness, quality, and security. The ideal candidate will develop test plans, create and execute automated and manual tests, and work closely with multiple development teams to ensure software quality.
Responsibilities:

Evaluate and test software for completeness, quality, correctness and security

Develop test plans and test cases
-
Develop automated tests
-
Perform manual and automated tests for software functionality, installation, and usability

Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts

Manage bugs and error tracking
-
Document and present test results to management

Coordinate and prioritize testing of application modifications and bug fixes

Work with multiple development teams and software projects
Requirements:

Experience developing test plans and test cases

Experience performing manual and automated tests
Desired skills:
- Experience with a test tracking software package
