Full job description

Director of Internal Medicine & Wound Care, providing operational leadership across our Internal Medicine practices and Wound Care services.

This role requires a leader who can work with a high degree of autonomy, understands the operational realities of ambulatory practice, and can move work forward without requiring constant direction. Strong critical thinking, prioritization, follow-up, and follow-through are essential.

The Director will partner closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, and the broader Physician Operations team to support high-quality care, strong patient access, provider and staff engagement, and efficient day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operational oversight of Internal Medicine and Wound Care services
  • Leadership and development of clinic teams
  • Partnership with physicians and providers to address operational needs and support growth
  • Patient access, scheduling, workflow, and performance improvement
  • Staffing, budget management, and resource planning
  • Quality, patient experience, and service improvement
  • Implementation of organizational and Physician Operations initiatives
  • Identification of operational issues, development of practical solutions, and accountability for execution
  • Consistent follow-up to ensure commitments, projects, and action items are completed
  • Collaboration across departments and service lines

We are looking for a leader who is self-directed, accountable, organized, and solutions-oriented, with strong operational judgment and the ability to distinguish urgent issues from important long-term priorities. The successful candidate will be comfortable making decisions, asking the right questions, identifying risks, and ensuring work is carried through to completion.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree required, Masters preferred

  • Minimum of three years practice management experience

  • Management skills of organization, interpersonal communication skills, mediation and negotiation, independent decision-making

PAY RANGE

  • ‎Wage range: $38.43/hour - $57.64/hour

  • Starting wage dependent upon experience, education, and skill-set
