Responsibilities
Executive Summary
The Corporate Regional CNO is the senior nursing executive responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for Nursing Services across a designated region. The role carries 24-hour accountability for nursing practice, patient care delivery, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, workforce management, and financial performance. The CNO partners closely with hospital CEOs, CNOs, physicians, and corporate leadership to standardize best practices, drive performance improvement initiatives, and ensure consistent adoption of organizational policies and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities

Provide regional oversight of all nursing functions and patient care services.

Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and accreditation standards.

Lead quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.

Develop and implement nursing policies, protocols, and standardized clinical practices.

Monitor nursing quality metrics, staffing indicators, dashboards, and financial performance.

Partner with service line, operational, and physician leadership to achieve organizational goals.

Mentor and support local nursing leadership teams across multiple facilities.
-
Conduct site visits, leadership meetings, leadership rounds, and operational reviews.

Address patient care delivery challenges and drive operational consistency.

Support labor management, workforce planning, retention, and succession planning efforts.

Travel extensively throughout the assigned region to support hospital operations.

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse. 2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. Minimum of two (2) years supervisory/management experience necessary. 4. Minimum of five (5) years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting. 5. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required 6. Master’s of Science in Nursing or related advanced administration/leadership degree required
