Primary Objective:
Follow all PCB procedures and forms in compliance to ISO 9001.
Both independently and under direct supervision, performs a variety of production tasks that require the ability to follow written/verbal instructions and a thorough knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment.
Major Areas of Accountability

Refers to drawings, routers, and procedures to perform various chemical and ceramic powder processing operations, such as:
-
Weighing of raw chemicals
-
Batch mixing
-
Calcination, powder drying, or high temperature powder and pressed ceramic processing
-
Ceramic powder milling
-
Performing density and viscosity measurements and particle size analysis
-
Operating and maintaining processing equipment such as blending machines and furnaces
-
Spray drying or granulation
-
Mechanical die pressing of ceramic powder
-
Tooling set up and maintenance
-
Performs in-process inspection and testing of products, records data as required.

Learns and uses microscope, basic tools, fine hand tools, scales, micrometers and various processing and test equipment.

Responsible for simple set ups, operation, and cleaning of various equipment per procedure. May operate mixer, ball mill, press, hot plate, dust control systems, spray dryer, oven, furnace, hoist, dolly, lifting aids, and other equipment as needed.

Shows commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction through dedicating skills to achieve zero defect status and works with engineering to support continuous improvement projects.

Provides information to department leadership and co-workers to positively affect quality and output.

Follows established procedures with respect to workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Responsible for following company hazardous waste management procedures for hazardous wastes which are routinely generated through the manufacturing processes performed during normal duties.

Maintains a clean and organized working area, and follows established department cleaning requirements.

Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of department and PCB.

Education
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience
Experience handling small parts with tweezers and using a microscope, preferred.

Experience
Basic math skills, understanding of units of measure, basic computer skills, and good documentation, time management, and communication skills is beneficial.

This position requires access to “controlled technology” as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730 et. seq.) and “technical data” as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (22 C.F.R, Chapter 1, Subchapter M). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
