Description
SAIC currently has an opening for a Software Tester to support the DEVCOM AvMC at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama under the Combat Capabilities Development Command, Aviation and Missile Center.
Responsibilities:
-
Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web‑based applications
-
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
-
Document test results, track defects, and verify resolution through collaboration with developers
-
Document defects clearly and track them through resolution
-
Validate data integrations with SQL databases
-
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other testers during sprint activities
-
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives
-
Update test‑related tasks and statuses on the sprint board
-
Support help desk investigations by reproducing and documenting reported issues
-
Support test automation initiatives where applicable
Qualifications
Required Education:
- BS degree and zero (0) years experience; six (6) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Required Clearance :
- Active Secret Security Clearance required to start
Required Skills:

Experience performing software testing for web applications
-
Familiarity with Agile software development environments

Experience with test management or issue‑tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TFS)

Understanding of C#, .NET Framework/.NET 8+ environments at a level sufficient to test functionality

Ability to write clear, repeatable test cases and evaluate software behavior against requirements

Basic understanding of SQL for test data validation

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desire to continually improve testing processes, tools, and personal skillset
