Overview The Delaware Valley Job Corps is seeking a Recreation Advisor in Callicoon, NY. Recreation Advisors work with the Recreation team to provide students with a comprehensive and diverse recreation program. This position promotes health and wellness by overseeing recreational activities in accordance with the approved recreation schedule. Responsibilities Assist with planning, coordinating, and supervising recreational activities and evening programs. Promote student health, wellness, leadership, and positive social development. Supervise students and encourage positive behavior and accountability. Coordinate activities with other departments and local community resources. Ensure safe practices and compliance with program guidelines. Document student participation and maintain accountability. Maintain recreation equipment, supplies, and facilities. Work collaboratively with staff to support student success and center operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. One year of experience working with youth OR an associate degree. Valid NY State Driver's License and must meet company insurance requirements. CDL preferred. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Skills in student supervision, independent living skills development, crisis intervention, and behavior management.
