Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical & Emergency Department

Pay Range: $33.90–$45.25 per hour, based on years of experience

Estimated Annual Salary: $70,512–$94,120 based on a 40-hour work week

Location: New Hampshire

Schedule: Every other weekend

On-Call: None

Patient Population: Newborn through geriatric

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an inpatient nursing team at a small, rural Critical Access Hospital.

This position is ideal for an experienced RN who is confident working independently, can quickly adapt to a smaller healthcare environment, and is comfortable caring for a diverse patient population. The successful candidate will assess, plan, provide, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process, critical thinking, and sound clinical judgment.

The ideal candidate is a team player and exceptional communicator who is motivated to expand their clinical knowledge and nursing skills while providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients from newborn through geriatric populations.

Assess patient conditions and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.

Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking to make appropriate clinical judgments and decisions.

Monitor patients requiring cardiac/telemetry monitoring.

Perform ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.

Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.

Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and other clinical information.

Provide patient and family education as appropriate.

Prioritize and manage multiple patient-care responsibilities in a small-unit environment.

Respond appropriately to changes in patient status and emergent situations.

Maintain a safe, professional, and supportive environment for patients and staff.

Work independently while contributing effectively as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

Required Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire.

2+ years of ICU, PCU, or Medical/Surgical nursing experience – Required.

2+ years of Emergency Department (ED) experience – Required.

Telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience – Required.

BLS certification through the American Heart Association – Required.

ACLS certification through the American Heart Association – Required.

PALS certification through the American Heart Association – Required.

Ability to work independently and confidently in a small-facility environment.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a rural or small healthcare facility.

Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital.

Previous travel nursing experience is welcome but not required.

Hourly Pay: $33.90–$45.25, based on experience

Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color

License: New Hampshire RN license required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS – American Heart Association

Current certifications must be provided with the application; certifications will not be pended.

Candidates should be prepared to work independently and contribute immediately in a small-facility setting.

Pay Details: $32.90 to $33.90 per hour
