Introduction
At IBM Human Resources & Talent Transformation, we reimagine the way people work by combining AI, data, and human centred design. Our teams help close skill gaps, modernize HR models, and create engaging employee experiences at scale. Working in HR at IBM means bridging technology and people. Streamlining processes, driving agility, and enabling leaders and employees to thrive. You’ll collaborate across the business to shape the future of work. With continuous learning, career growth, and a culture built on empathy and innovation, IBM offers the opportunity to make a real impact on organizations and people worldwide.
Your role and responsibilities
IBM is seeking an Executive Recruiter to identify, engage, assess, and attract senior leaders across a broad range of functions and industries. This role is designed for a curious, technology-forward professional who is motivated to explore AI, emerging tools, and new ways of working. Prior recruiting experience is helpful but not required; structured development will build the Talent Acquisition capabilities needed for success.
The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of executive search, business strategy, and AI-enabled transformation. The recruiter will support executive hiring across different functions and disciplines while helping build, train, evolve, and manage responsible AI agents and new tools that improve appropriate recruiting workflows and team productivity.
This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who can engage credibly with senior leaders across different fields, learn new domains quickly, translate business strategy into executive talent requirements, and help define the next level of executive recruitment.
Your responsibilities may include:
-
Partner with business, functional, and HR leaders to define executive role mandates, success profiles, capability requirements, and assessment criteria.
-
Lead or support end-to-end executive searches across a broad range of business, functional, industry, and leadership domains.
-
Translate business strategies, functional priorities, and leadership requirements into targeted search strategies and compelling candidate narratives.
-
Identify and engage senior leaders across different fields through disciplined research, market mapping, professional networks, referrals, and talent communities.
-
Assess candidates for functional expertise, leadership scope, business impact, learning agility, and alignment with the role mandate, in partnership with qualified subject-matter experts.
-
Advise stakeholders on talent availability, competitor landscapes, compensation signals, search risks, and pipeline quality.
-
Deliver a differentiated, high-touch candidate experience across outreach, assessment, interviews, offer, preboarding, and transition to executive integration.
-
Build trusted relationships and maintain long-term pipelines for critical leadership and functional capabilities.
-
Build, train, test, evolve, and manage AI agents for appropriate recruiting workflows, including research synthesis, content preparation, process support, knowledge management, and reporting.
-
Create clear agent instructions, grounding approaches, quality checks, escalation points, and human oversight.
-
Monitor agent performance and feedback, identify failure patterns, and improve workflows, prompts, knowledge sources, and controls.
-
Maintain accurate search data, surface risks early, and provide concise progress updates to senior stakeholders.
-
Continuously build expertise in executive search, sourcing, candidate management, stakeholder advisory, assessment, and Talent Acquisition governance.
Required technical and professional expertise
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in technology, engineering, data, consulting IT.
-
Demonstrated curiosity about AI, digital tools, automation, and emerging ways of working, with the ability to learn and apply new technology concepts quickly.
-
Ability to evaluate executive experience and role-relevant proficiency through structured questioning, evidence review, and partnership with functional experts.
-
Interest in building, configuring, training, evaluating, or managing AI agents, copilots, automation, or AI-enabled workflows.
-
Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
-
Executive presence and the ability to build credibility with senior candidates and stakeholders across different fields.
-
High learning agility and genuine interest in developing expertise in Talent Acquisition and executive search.
-
Sound judgment, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information and multiple priorities.
Preferred technical and professional experience
-
Hands-on experience with generative AI, agentic AI, automation, digital tools, analytics, or technology-enabled business transformation.
-
Familiarity with prompt design, low-code or no-code tools, workflow automation, data analysis, or programming and scripting.
-
Experience translating complex concepts for different audiences and influencing decisions through data and insight.
-
Exposure to executive research, consulting, talent intelligence, strategic sourcing, leadership assessment, or complex project delivery.
-
Familiarity with responsible AI principles, evaluation methods, data privacy, risk controls, and human-in-the-loop operating models.
-
Experience working across geographies, business units, functions, or matrixed organizations.
