Description SetPoint Medical's Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading the company's talent acquisition strategy and execution to attract, assess, and hire high-quality talent in support of organizational growth and business objectives. This role serves as a strategic recruiting partner to hiring managers and business leaders, providing guidance on workforce needs, recruiting strategy, candidate assessment, market conditions, and hiring decisions. This role partners closely with Human Resources and business leadership on workforce planning, employer branding, recruiting analytics, vendor management, and may lead or mentor team members as the organization grows. In a fast-paced start-up environment, this role will need effective communication skills, the ability to excel under pressure, the ability to follow a task from start to finish, and excellent cross-functional team collaboration.
Requirements •Partner with business leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop recruiting strategies, define candidate profiles, and establish hiring plans aligned with business priorities. •Provide guidance to hiring managers on market conditions, candidate assessment, compensation negotiations, and effective recruiting best practices. •Manage full-cycle recruiting, coordination throughout the candidate lifecycle, including job postings, applicant tracking, offer coordination, interview scheduling, and candidate interview logistics, including transportation, lodging, and expense reimbursement, to ensure a smooth and compliant candidate experience. •Develop proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines, monitor recruiting progress, and address barriers to achieve current and future hiring objectives. •Continuously improve recruiting processes, interview practices, assessment methods, and candidate experience standards by partnering with leadership on employer branding and communications. •Monitor recruiting activity and hiring progress, identify barriers, and implement solutions to achieve hiring objectives. •Develop and analyze recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, pipeline activity, offer acceptance, and hiring outcomes. •Lead and support workforce planning activities by identifying future talent needs and developing corresponding sourcing strategies. •Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies, search firms, universities, professional organizations, and other talent partners. •Evaluate external recruiting resources and vendor performance while managing associated costs and effectiveness. •Ensure consistent and compliant recruiting practices in accordance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies. •Support implementation and optimization of applicant tracking systems, recruiting technology, and related workflows. •Participate in additional Human Resources and organizational initiatives as needed.
Minimum Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. •6+ years of progressive talent acquisition or recruiting experience, preferably within medical device, healthcare, biotechnology, life sciences, or another regulated industry. •Demonstrated success recruiting across multiple functions and organizational levels, including technical, commercial, operations, clinical, and corporate roles. •Experience serving as a consultative recruiting partner to managers and senior business leaders with demonstrated experience developing sourcing strategies and managing complex or difficult-to-fill searches. •Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing and recruiting platforms. •Experience using recruiting metrics and market data to evaluate performance and inform hiring strategies.
Skills and Abilities •Strong strategic and consultative recruiting skills, excellent sourcing, interviewing, and candidate assessment capabilities. •Ability to influence and build credibility with hiring managers and business leaders. •Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruiting metrics and identify trends. •Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills. •Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. •Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion with confidential information. •Ability to develop scalable processes and drive continuous improvement. •Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
Physical Requirements •Ability to perform routine physical tasks, including lifting to 20 pounds. •Comfortable working in a sitting position and performing repetitive computer-based tasks.
Work Location and Travel •We welcome remote applicants. •Candidates who live within a 40-mile radius of our headquarters in Valencia, CA will be expected to follow a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, with approved remote workdays in accordance with company policy). •Minimal travel opportunities based on interest and business need.
