Overview

The Vice President, People serves as HarperCollins Christian Publishing’s lead consultative human resources business partner, shaping the division’s people strategy, organization design, and employee relations approach.

Position Overview

  • Role: LeadHRpartnerforthe HarperCollins Christian Publishingdivision, reporting to the SVP, Deputy CHRO.

  • Focus:Provide consultativecounselto divisional leaders, translating business priorities intopeoplestrategy and organization solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Partnership:Serve as a trusted, consultative advisor to divisional leadership on business andpeoplepriorities.

  • Organization Design & Strategy:Lead organization design, workforce planning,changeand talent strategiesthat support divisional goals.

  • Employee Relations:Lead complex employee relations, performance, and workplace matters with sound judgment, consistency, and practical solutions.

  • Talent & Succession: Partner with leaders to assess organizational capabilities, strengthen succession pipelines, and advance talent development and retention priorities.

  • LeadershipAdvisory: Advisesenior leaders on team effectiveness, performance, leadership capability, and organizational health.

  • Enterprise Partnership: Collaborate across the People Team and broaderorganizationto align divisional needs with enterprise programs, policies, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive HR leadership, with deep experience in consultative business partnership, employee relations, organization design,scalability,and people strategy.

  • Executive Partnership:Demonstratedability to influence, advise, and build trust with senior leaders while balancing business priorities, employee needs, and organizational risk.

  • Change Leadership: Proven success leading organization change, workforce planning, and talent initiatives in a complex, evolving environment.

  • Education:Bachelor’s degreerequired; advanced degree or SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred.

  • Culture Alignment:Opennessand respect for the organization’s mission, values, and culture.
