We are seeking motivated Water/Wastewater Interns to join our team in 2027! This internship offers hands-on experience supporting engineers and project managers on impactful infrastructure projects that help shape our communities.
Depending on your interests and project needs, you may contribute to one or more of the following areas:
Water/Wastewater & Civil Site
Assist with the planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, and site development projects.
Support the preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction-phase support activities, including submittal and RFI reviews.
Water Resources
Support projects involving flood risk reduction, dams, levees, stormwater systems, wetlands, and river restoration.
Assist with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, data analysis, and water resources studies.
Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and presentations.
Geotechnical/Tunneling
Assist with geotechnical and tunneling analyses and design for tunnels, underground structures, excavations, and foundations.
Support subsurface investigations, fieldwork, geotechnical reporting, and engineering evaluations.
Contribute to numerical modeling, design calculations, technical documentation, and construction observation activities.
Gain exposure to a variety of tunneling methods, ground support systems, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Civil Engineering studentor Biosystems
Preference given to local candidates.
Relevant coursework, projects, internship, or research experience in engineering or a related field.
Familiarity with engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
Exposure design, analysis, modeling, field investigations, construction, or data collection activities.
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills with an interest in infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
Attention to detail
Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
Basic Microsoft Office skills
