WHAT WE'RE DOING

At Lockheed Martin, we are dedicated to supporting our global MH-60R/S customers through capability development, Obsolescence / Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages (DMSMS) management and resolution, and product line sustainment. Our team in Owego, NY, plays a key role in ensuring the ongoing success of these platforms for both the U.S. Navy and our Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. We are seeking a strong Development Program Manager to continue decades-long success developing avionics and platform hardware and software solutions to support our customers.

THE WORK

The Program Manager’s responsibilities will include managing program cost, schedule, and technical performance with active risk and opportunity management process adherence, baseline activities, and CDRL Development, and will:

  • Perform program management leadership activities in support of executing requirements relating to milestones and contractual deliveries including metric development, administration, best practice implementation, and presentation development.

  • Develop and negotiate proposal submissions, as well as informal ROM style cost and technical assessments.

  • Work with Functional Leadership and Control Account Managers (CAMs)/Work Package Managers to development accurate cost and schedule projections, and mitigate cost and schedule variances.

  • Serve as the primary customer interface, facilitating collaboration and joint problem-solving with the U.S. and FMS stakeholders.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a results-driven leader with significant experience in program management, particularly in managing complex defense and aerospace programs. You bring:

  • Excellent communication skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all LM and customer levels

  • Strong organizational skills, enabling you to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated skills in metrics-driven performance management, risk identification and mitigation, and issue resolution.

  • Firm understanding of system engineering principles and practices

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skill proficiency in all routine Program Management areas typically found with 10+ years of experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline

  • Demonstrated success in leading and supporting multi-functional teams on multiple programs.

  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret security clearance.

  • Ability to travel

  • Proficient in Earned Value Management and Analysis

  • Proficient in Risk/Issue/Opportunity Management

  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)

Desired Skills

  • Experience with NAVAIR PMA-299 and/or knowledge of the MH-60 R/S platforms

  • Experience with Development contracts

  • Experienced Team Leader

  • Experience with AGILE development processes and practices

  • Proficient Workload Planning and associated tools

  • Proposal development skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
