Trade Operations Analyst – Entry Level

Salt Lake City, UT (In-Office | Must be local)

Comp: $47-56K/year

We are partnering with a leading global financial institution to identify a detail-driven Trade Operations Analyst. This role sits at the center of trade processing, with a focus on foreign exchange, keeping trades, cash movements, and client records accurate, timely, and well controlled.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, thrives on deadlines, and wants to build a career in capital markets operations with hands-on FX exposure.

Trade Operations Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Process and settle FX trades by partnering with counterparties and client service teams.

  • Investigate and resolve client questions and day-to-day operational issues, escalating when needed.

  • Research breaks and exceptions in internal records, driving them to resolution.

  • Coordinate with treasury and cash teams to release held funds and limit the funding impact of large client transfers.

  • Evaluate existing workflows and recommend improvements that lower risk and cut repetitive manual work.

  • Guide clients toward practices that improve both service quality and operational outcomes.

Qualities of the Ideal Trade Operations Analyst Candidate:

  • Bachelors Degree required

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong control and risk mindset

  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced setting with multiple processing cutoffs throughout the day

  • Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge inefficient processes

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first approach

  • Ability to lead small initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive change through consensus

  • Hands-on FX or trade operations experience preferred

  • Solid Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)

  • VBA or macro experience is a plus, but not required

Why You Want to Work Here:

  • Gain hands-on exposure to FX operations at a leading global financial firm

  • Build expertise in trade processing, settlements, and risk controls

  • Work cross-functionally with client service and treasury teams

  • Overtime opportunities

  • Collaborative, fast-moving, professional environment
