Full Stack Developer (Java/Spring Boot) - Remote

Location: Fully Remote (East Coast Hours)

Client Location: Connecticut

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week, Monday-Friday

Compensation: Hourly Equivalent of $90,000-$100,000 annually (depending on experience)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join a growing technology team supporting business-critical applications and integrations. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position after approximately six months, depending on business needs and performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong Java development experience and a background supporting web applications that interact with ERP systems, business processes, and enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support full stack web applications

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services

• Develop scalable solutions using Java and Spring Boot

• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and database processes

• Support and maintain applications that integrate with ERP and other business systems

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities

• Contribute to CI/CD and automated build processes using Maven and related development tools

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience

• Strong experience with Java

• Experience developing applications using Spring Boot

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs

• Strong SQL and relational database experience

• Experience with Maven and modern software development practices

• Experience developing or supporting enterprise web applications

• Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and Agile environments

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with business users

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting applications that integrate with ERP, MRP, or other enterprise business systems

• Familiarity with business processes such as inventory management, order processing, manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing, or distribution

• Experience with e-commerce platforms or order management applications

• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Linux environments

• Experience with modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue

• Experience working on application integrations and data exchange projects
