  • Use SolidWorks to accurately and proficiently model complex structural sheet metal assemblies

  • Produce clear, production-ready manufacturing drawings with accurate dimensioning and notes

  • Use SolidWorks to layout complex plumbing systems and electrical harnesses, ensuring adequate space and proper clearances for installation, routing and correction allowances.

  • Solid experience with SolidWorks PDM and managing organized design libraries

  • Read written specification documents and use drafting knowledge to design products that strictly meet customer requirements

  • Ability to accurately indicate design or fitment problems and form practical solutions in a clear manner

  • Basic understanding of automotive engineering principles and manufacturing limits

  • Understand the capabilities and limitations of CNC waterjet machinery, CNC press brakes, welding processes, and standard shop tooling

  • Create detailed assembly, fabrication, and welding work instructions

  • Capacity to maintain an extreme level of detail in models, BOMs, and drawings

  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and produce accurate production designs

  • Must be able to deal with customers, staff, and vendors in an enthusiastic, cheerful, and helpful manner
