Full job description
Job Duties
Assist in overseeing daily operations of a USDA federally inspected meat-processing and sausage manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include production scheduling, sausage manufacturing, smokehouse operations, packaging, sanitation, quality control, employee supervision, inventory management, production costing, equipment troubleshooting, and food safety compliance.
Work directly with experienced plant management to develop a comprehensive understanding of both production and administrative operations, with opportunities for increased management responsibility based on experience and demonstrated ability.
Minimum Education Required
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in meat science, food science, or management is a plus but not required.
Minimum Experience Required
Prior experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, or production supervision preferred. Supervisory experience and familiarity with USDA-inspected operations are desirable but not required.
