Job Summary:

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cable Assembler Technician to join our team and support operations in Adelanto, CA.

Under general supervision, with detailed instruction and regular review, this position is responsible for performing repetitive tasks in preparation for electronic and/or mechanical assembly, or assembly line packaging operations. Follows established procedures, assembly documentation and work instructions in performing assembly tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Performs repetitive tasks in preparation for electronic and/or mechanical assembly, or assembly line packaging operations.

  • Performs housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks.

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires associate's degree or equivalent with two or more years of experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

  • Must be customer focused and possess:

  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawing and wire lists

  • Have a good understanding of the general aspects of the job with limited technical comprehension

  • Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the position

  • Familiarity with use of soldering and compression connection tools

  • Have good visual perception and ability to distinguish between colors

  • The ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential

  • The ability to work additional overtime hours may also be required
