Job Title: Mechanical Engineer PE I
Location: Coppell, TX
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00
Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote
Overview
The Mechanical Engineer PE I applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.
Responsibilities

Sign and seal engineering documents.
-
Analyze, develop, and evaluate systems.
-
Improve and maintain current systems or create new projects.
-
Design and draft blueprints, visit systems in the field, and manage projects.
-
Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
-
Perform work under general supervision.
-
Handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer License (PE).
-
4-6 years of experience.
-
Possesses working knowledge of the subject matter.

Critical thinking skills.

Problem solving skills.

Mathematic skills.

Computer skills.
-
Technical expertise.
-
Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Travel requirement: 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
-
Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
-
Climbing stairs.
-
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
-
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
-
Operating machinery and/or power tools.
-
Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
-
Noisy environment.
-
Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.
