Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

Description We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to support a high-visibility client engagement in Torrance, California. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who can lead IT initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and keep delivery aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate brings strong project leadership, excels in Agile environments, and is comfortable working onsite Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Lead project planning, execution, and delivery activities for complex IT initiatives while maintaining alignment with timelines, scope, and stakeholder expectations.

• Partner with business and technical teams to define priorities, track milestones, and address risks or roadblocks before they impact delivery.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and promote effective Scrum practices to support steady progress across project workstreams.

• Use Jira and related project tools to monitor tasks, maintain visibility into project status, and provide clear reporting to leadership.

• Coordinate onsite collaboration with client and internal teams from Monday through Thursday to strengthen communication and decision-making.

• Manage project governance activities, including status updates, issue resolution, dependency tracking, and change control as needed.

• Support interview and onboarding coordination by helping identify contributors with relevant experience who meet project requirements when applicable. Requirements Certifications: PMP / SAFe RTE or equivalent certification Key Role Requirements: Must have extensive experience as a project manager. Ability to manage project based on execution methodology (waterfall or agile) and perform scrum master responsibilities where applicable. Experience with creating and managing project budgets Experience working on projects with a large number of stakeholders (both business and technical) Experience with either End of Term Dealer portal, AI (especially with AWS), Digital / Tech Solutions, Mobile Apps, CPRA, Web 3.0, Data Mapping, Compliance Tech Implementations, Customer Communications Experience with financial services – Loan origination/servicing/insurance or captive finance experience is a plus Tools Experience: Azure DevOps, Clarity, Microsoft Project, Sharepoint or similar project management tools. Understanding of Project Lifecycle and Software Development Lifecycle process Experience and ability to follow established Project Management processes (RACI, Financial Management, Resource Management, Project Estimation, and Status Reporting) Experience developing project management guidelines, checklist and templates to drive standardization (PMO Governance) PM Digital Transformation experience and even a Product (Owner/Manager) background - Plus Strong customer-facing delivery experience Experience leading large-scale, custom/home-grown systems implementations Experience building and establishing processes from the ground up Ability to manage the complexity, stakeholder alignment, and visibility associated with large-scale transformation efforts Ability to navigate complex brand-compliance requirements while effectively managing customer expectations Soft Skills: · Ability to operate independently as a driver of projects vs tracking project · Strong verbal skills (Articulate and confident when speaking and leading meetings) · Strong written skills (Ability to take good meeting notes, formatting of deliverables, verbiage)

Work Location: Torrance, CA - 4 days per week onsite and 1 day remote
