Waymo's Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams are making the technology of the future a reality. We handle all production processes and supplier development strategies: from contracts and purchasing, to designs for improved manufacturing, through quality control and delivery. We collaborate actively with Waymo engineering teams as well as external suppliers and partners to make sure everything is built to spec and delivered on time to meet the rising demands of our business.
This role follows a hybrid work schedule and you will report to the Head of Vehicle/SDS Supply Planning & Materials Ops.
You will:

Drive Global Supply & Demand Orchestration: Architect and run the global demand and supply balance for autonomous vehicles and sensor suites, aligning commercial rollout targets, fleet maintenance needs and manufacturing and logistics capacities, for domestic and international markets.

Direct OEM & CM Build Execution: Lead partners in executing build plans to target schedules, allocate supply for global distribution

Lead Executive S&OP Cycles: Facilitate cross-functional Sales & Operations Planning across Hardware to reconcile variances, manage working capital, and build executive consensus on build/allocation trade-offs.

Standing Up an Internal "System-of-Record": Define requirements for and partner with engineering/data teams to stand up foundational internal planning systems. Leverage AI-assisted tools, scripting, and automated models to automate repetitive planning workflows.

Factory-to-Market AV Distribution: Establish and scale new operational planning capabilities for autonomous vehicle distribution globally aligned dynamically with city-level demand.

Sensors Operational Procurement Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of planning, allocation and forward and reverse distribution workflows for the current generation of sensors and lead cross-functional partners in the strategic design, rollout, and optimization of distribution channels for future generation sensors.
You have:

BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business, Data Analytics, or equivalent practical experience

Proven work experience as a Demand Planner and across end-to-end supply chain functions.

Solid understanding of inventory management practices, procurement, allocation, and forecasting procedures.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into high-level analysis

Proven experience utilizing AI/ML tools, advanced predictive models, or automated forecasting algorithms to enhance demand sensing, scenario simulation, and planning accuracy

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong presentation abilities.
We prefer:

Master’s degree or MBA.

Direct experience in hardware technology, autonomous vehicles, robotics, or complex consumer electronics manufacturing.

In-depth knowledge of MRP/ERP architectures, inventory optimization practices (buffer sizing, safety stock), and engineering lifecycle/scrap management for proprietary hardware
Travel Requirement:
- 10-15% periodic domestic and international travel to contract manufacturing sites and Waymo operational locations as required.
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
Salary Range $200,000—$247,000 USD
