JOB SUMMARY

Outbound Team Lead

Position Summary

Location: 4212 Owens Farm Ct. Door E1, Greenfield, IN 46140

Schedule: 3:30PM-1:30AM Sunday – Wednesday or 3:30PM-1:30AM Wednesday - Saturday

Pay rate: $23.00

The Outbound Team Lead is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations related to order fulfillment, material handling, inventory movement, and shipping activities. This role provides direction, training, and support to team members while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer service standards are consistently met. The Outbound Team Lead serves as a working leader who actively participates in warehouse operations and promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate and lead material handling and warehousing functions required for receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.

  • Lead daily outbound operations to ensure timely and accurate shipment of customer orders.

  • Demonstrate and lead work from a variety of source documents to verify quantities, part numbers, destinations, and shipment schedules.

  • Monitor workflow and assign tasks to team members to meet productivity and service goals.

  • Demonstrate and lead the use of machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, labeling, and packaging products.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.

  • Demonstrate and lead the safe operation and basic servicing of mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment within the warehouse environment.

  • Train, coach, and support team members to improve performance and operational efficiency.

  • Assist with inventory accuracy by conducting audits, cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies.

  • Demonstrate and lead the performance of specialized clerical and documentation duties, including shipping records, inventory transactions, and system updates.

  • Communicate operational priorities and performance expectations to team members.

  • Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 1-3 years of relevant warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience.

  • Basic mathematical skills.

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents, instructions, and operational reports.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred

  • Warehouse experience.

  • Logistics experience.

  • Previous leadership or team lead experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.

  • Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, or order pickers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
