Full job description

Your future role at a glance

  • Location: Oshkosh, WI

  • Facility: Mercy Hospital

  • Department: Pharmacy

  • Schedule: Full-time evenings | 40 hours per week | 10-hour shifts 7:30am to 6pm or 1pm to 11:30pm | every third weekend and every third holiday rotation

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Optimize pharmaceutical care by evaluating complex medication orders to proactively resolve drug-related issues and ensure alignment with clinical guidelines and formulary standards.

  • Deliver precise compounding, dispensing, and comprehensive drug therapy education to physicians, clinical teams, and patients to maximize treatment effectiveness and safety.

  • Lead and mentor pharmacy technicians and students, serving as a preceptor and clinical expert to drive operational excellence and professional growth within the pharmacy team.

  • Collaborate directly with interdisciplinary care teams and physicians to design tailored medication regimens and empower patients through clear, supportive therapeutic counseling.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacist credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

Additional Preferences:

  • Minimum of 3 prior years of hospital pharmacy experience required.

  • PGY1 acute care residency preferred.
