Construction Document Control Specialist – Procore Preferred

Childress, Texas | Full-Time | Long-Term Travel Assignment

Position Overview

FST Technical Services is seeking an experienced Construction Document Control Specialist to support a major industrial construction project in Childress, Texas. We are looking for someone with document control experience supporting large-scale construction, engineering, or industrial projects. Experience working with Procore is strongly preferred.

This individual will manage project documentation, control document flow and revisions, track submittals and other project records, and help ensure project teams are working from current and approved information.

Candidates do not need data center experience. Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, power, heavy civil, oil & gas, or other large commercial construction projects will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.

  • Control distribution and revision of drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, reports, and other project records.

  • Maintain accurate document logs, tracking systems, and electronic project files.

  • Ensure project teams are working from the most current approved drawings and documentation.

  • Track document status, revisions, approvals, and outstanding items.

  • Coordinate document flow between contractors, engineering teams, project management, QA/QC, and other project stakeholders.

  • Perform document quality checks for accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting.

  • Utilize Procore or other project document management systems to maintain and track construction documentation.

  • Assist with turnover packages, closeout documentation, and final project records.

  • Support project teams with document searches, reporting, and status updates.

  • Follow established project document-control procedures and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Document Control experience, preferably within construction, engineering, or industrial project environments.

  • Experience supporting large-scale industrial, manufacturing, data center, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, power, or other major construction projects preferred.

  • Experience with Procore is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with other electronic document management systems (EDMS) or construction/project management platforms will also be considered.

  • Strong understanding of construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, revision control, and document logs.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of project documentation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with contractors, engineers, QA/QC personnel, project management, and other project stakeholders.

  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Childress, Texas.
