Full job description
Our client, a hospitality ownership group, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager for one of its boutique lifestyle hotels in Atlanta.
This role will focus on driving group and event business across all market segments, with responsibility for both developing new business and growing existing accounts. The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven hotel sales professional who enjoys prospecting, building a strong client base, and converting opportunities into guestrooms, event space, and food & beverage revenue.

Requirements

Proactively identify, prospect, solicit, and secure new group and event business across all market segments.

Develop and grow existing accounts while building long-term client relationships and repeat business.

Sell guestrooms, room blocks, event space, and food & beverage opportunities.

Manage the sales process from initial lead and qualification through proposals, negotiation, contracting, and turnover.

Conduct property tours and site inspections for prospective clients and event partners.

Create customized proposals and agreements designed to convert business.

Develop strategic sales plans and prospecting initiatives to achieve individual and property revenue goals.

Identify new opportunities through networking, market research, referrals, and industry relationships.

Maintain an active pipeline and accurate account, activity, forecasting, and production information within the hotel’s sales systems.

Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify new revenue opportunities.

Partner closely with the Sales & Events Manager and property leadership to ensure a seamless transition from sales through event execution.

Collaborate with operations, revenue management, and food & beverage teams to maximize revenue and deliver an exceptional client experience.

Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, industry functions, and community events.

Participate in sales strategy meetings and contribute to property sales planning and forecasting.

Maintain flexibility to attend occasional evening, weekend, and client events as business needs require.
Qualifications:

Previous hotel sales experience, ideally within a boutique, lifestyle, independent, or full-service hotel environment.

Demonstrated experience selling group rooms and/or event business.

Proven ability to prospect for new business while developing and growing existing accounts.

Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.

Comfortable conducting site tours, presenting proposals, and communicating with a wide range of clients.

Knowledge of the Atlanta hospitality and events market is highly desirable.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, leads, and priorities.

Experience with hotel sales, CRM, and property-management systems.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest and client experiences.
