We are currently conducting a search for a full-time Specialty Pharmacist to join a growing team of colleagues at our customer site, Willis Knighton Health, to provide outstanding service to patients with complex, specialty diseases to help them achieve improved clinical outcomes.
Pharmacy Location: Located within Willis Knighton Health in Shreveport, LA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Primary Responsibilities:

Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy

Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for specialty patients

Monitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events

Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow

Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirements

Required Qualifications:
-
PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree

Licensed to practice as a pharmacist in the state of Louisiana

Ability to become dually licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Texas within 60-90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Pharmacy management experience
-
Proficiency in multiple EMR systems such as EPIC, Cerner or Meditech
-
Proficiency with dispensing systems such as PioneerRx, Willow Ambulatory, QS1, RX30, Computer Rx, etc. along with experience in pharmacy dispensing
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
