About the ZEDI Marketing Squad

The ZEDI Marketing Squad is a dedicated, India-based software engineering squad within Information Technology that partners closely with Marketing to own, enhance, and evolve Zelis.com and supporting digital experience platforms. The squad provides ongoing application development, production support, analytics enablement, platform optimization, and release management while leading the migration from WordPress to the Optimizely Digital Experience Platform (DXP) in 2027. Working as a long-lived product squad, the team collaborates with Marketing, UX, Product Management, Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and external implementation partners to deliver secure, scalable, and modern digital experiences.

The Role

The Senior Platform Engineer owns the technical foundation of the Zelis digital platform, ensuring the infrastructure, integrations, deployments, and content platform remain secure, scalable, and highly available. This role serves as the engineering expert for CMS platform capabilities, APIs, middleware, cloud hosting, CI/CD, and production operations. As a senior member of the ZEDI Marketing Squad, this engineer partners closely with the Technical Lead, Front End Engineer, QA Engineer, Enterprise Architecture, and Infrastructure teams to deliver reliable digital capabilities while preparing the organization for its strategic migration to Optimizely DXP.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and enhance WordPress and future Optimizely DXP platform capabilities.

• Design, build, and maintain APIs, middleware, and integrations supporting Zelis.com.

• Own CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release coordination.

• Partner with Infrastructure teams on Azure/AWS hosting, networking, CDN configuration, and environment management.

• Manage production environments, monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response.

• Optimize platform performance, caching, scalability, and resiliency.

• Coordinate vendor upgrades, platform patches, and technical maintenance activities.

• Implement security best practices and remediate vulnerabilities identified through security testing.

• Support DNS, domain management, SSL certificates, and related platform services.

• Document platform architecture, operational procedures, and engineering standards.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the 2027 Optimizely DXP migration.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical estimation, backlog refinement, and architecture reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 6–10 years supporting enterprise websites, CMS platforms, or digital applications.

• Experience administering cloud-hosted web platforms and production environments.

• Strong experience with APIs, middleware, CI/CD, Git, and enterprise deployment processes.

• Experience working within Agile software delivery teams.

• Knowledge of security, performance tuning, and platform operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Optimizely CMS/DXP or similar enterprise platforms.

• Experience supporting website migrations or digital transformation initiatives.

• Experience with Azure, AWS, Cloudflare, Akamai, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

• Knowledge of Google Analytics, GTM, and enterprise web architecture.

• Healthcare or enterprise SaaS experience.
