Kids Core Staff II

Work Mode: Onsite

Schedule:

This is a full-time position. Hours are dependent on programs scheduled each week. Remaining hours are typically worked in Kids Core during normal operating hours.

Compensation : $14.90-$17.90

Kids Core Hours of Operation

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

  • Sunday: Closed

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and families in a fun, active, and member-focused environment. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, safety-focused, and able to create engaging experiences for children while maintaining a clean, welcoming, and well-run Kids Core environment. This position is required to be onsite for all programs, camps, and birthday parties. Remaining hours will be spent supporting daily operations within Kids Core.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and protected environment in Kids Core.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout Kids Core.

  • Assist with washroom chores.

  • Maintain children's snacks available within Kids Core.

  • Maintain order and cleanliness standards according to policy.

  • Connect with children, members, and guests.

  • Check emails and respond in a timely manner.

  • Register children for programs using Club Automation.

  • Create an exciting and educational atmosphere for children.

  • Enforce Sports Core policies concerning children in the care of a drop-off center (versus daycare), including diaper-changing protocols, immediate emergency notification, and ensuring parents remain on the premises.

  • When there are no children in Kids Core, assume responsibilities for cleaning, organizing, updating displays, and addressing other duties requiring attention.

  • Care for the specific and personal needs of each child, including providing comfort, consistent affection, and discipline.

  • Encourage positive interactions and activities while understanding and promoting each child's individuality.

  • Promote and maintain a clean, healthy physical environment within Kids Core areas of responsibility.

  • Maintain toys and equipment and provide recommendations regarding purchases.

  • Ensure children do not leave Kids Core unattended and that the room is never unattended while children are present.

  • Assist parents with child sign-in and sign-out procedures.

  • Understand the fee structure for Kids Core usage, Monthly Unlimited Passes, and Premium Programs, and ensure accurate billing for these services.

  • Plan structured activities, including games, crafts, and outings within or near the facility.

  • Maintain a friendly and open rapport with parents.

  • Communicate important information regarding children to parents.

  • Contact parents whose children may affect the health of other children or require additional attention.

  • Remain onsite for all programs, camps, and birthday parties.

Periodic Responsibilities

  • Assist in training new staff.

  • Provide the Kids Core Coordinator with program descriptions on Programming Worksheets for all children's programs.

  • Plan agendas for programs, camps, and special events and present them to the Kids Core Coordinator.

  • Manage children's program supply lists and provide them to the Kids Core Coordinator at least one week before each program.

  • Maintain an organized and clean Boxing Studio storage closet.

  • Connect with parents regarding upcoming children's programs.

  • Assist with updating SOPs for children's programs and birthday parties.

  • Coordinate birthday party setup and execution.

  • Prepare and submit supply lists for birthday parties to the Kids Core Coordinator.

  • Provide onsite decorating and execution of birthday parties.

  • Contact the Kids Core Coordinator or Facility Manager for additional assistance or to make them aware of situations requiring immediate attention.

Skills/Requirements

Must possess a minimum of three years of child care experience with a caring, friendly demeanor. Excellent customer service, mentoring and leadership skills are required. Effective organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks are required in this position

Physical Requirements: Sit, stand, walk, run, bend, squat, crawl, lift overhead, reach, lifting of up to 50 pounds occasionally and lifting of up to 25 pounds frequently.

Certification Requirements: Adult/child CPR, adult AED. These can be accomplished on site shortly after being employed at Sports Core.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $14.90 - $17.90. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
