Full job description
About Reflex Reflex helps businesses build software around the way they work. We combine an AI application platform with forward-deployed engineers who work alongside customers to understand their operations, connect existing systems, and deliver tailored solutions. Our platform brings together AI-assisted development, reusable integrations, security controls, testing, and deployment capabilities. Customers get software shaped around their business, with the flexibility to adapt it as their needs change. About the role As Chief of Staff, you will work directly with the founders to turn our highest-priority company goals into results. You will take ownership of important work that spans teams, bring structure to ambiguous problems, and make sure decisions turn into action. This is a hands-on operating role. On any given week, you might help move a strategic customer initiative forward, improve our hiring process, build a business dashboard, prepare materials for an investor discussion, or solve an operational bottleneck. You should be comfortable moving between analysis, writing, coordination, and execution. Compensation Base salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year. Equity: 0.1%. What you will do
- Own cross-functional projects from defining the problem through implementation. Set milestones, identify dependencies, and follow through with the people responsible.
- Help the founders prioritize company initiatives and run a clear operating cadence: goals, weekly reviews, decisions, and follow-ups.
- Build practical reporting on pipeline, revenue, customer delivery, hiring, and spending. Turn the data into recommendations and actions.
- Work with sales, deployment, and engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and improve how work moves from customer commitment to delivery.
- Support recruiting by coordinating hiring priorities, improving candidate processes, and helping the team close critical hires.
- Prepare concise research, financial analyses, presentations, and decision memos for strategic opportunities, partnerships, and fundraising.
- Coordinate investor updates and board preparation with the founders, keeping information accurate and follow-ups organized.
- Improve internal processes and automate repetitive work with the right tools. Build systems that the team can use as we grow.
- Take on urgent, unowned problems and carry them through to resolution.
What we are looking for
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in startup operations, business operations, a founder's office, consulting, finance, or building your own company.
- A track record of personally delivering projects with measurable results, especially when the problem or path was initially unclear.
- Strong analytical skills. You can work comfortably in spreadsheets, understand business metrics, and distinguish a useful insight from an interesting number.
- Clear, concise writing and the ability to turn a complex discussion into a decision, an owner, and a next step.
- Strong organization and follow-through across multiple priorities, with good judgment about what needs attention now.
- The ability to work effectively with technical and commercial teams. You are curious about AI, enterprise software, and how customers operate.
- Discretion with confidential information and the judgment to represent the founders thoughtfully.
- A willingness to do detailed execution yourself, learn quickly, and take responsibility for outcomes.
Experience at an early-stage B2B software company, working with enterprise customers, building financial models, or using SQL and automation tools is a plus. Why join Reflex
- Work directly with the founders on decisions and projects that shape the company.
- Own meaningful work across the business and see the results of what you build.
- Help scale a company combining an AI software platform with hands-on customer delivery.
This is a full-time, in-person role in San Francisco. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States. When applying, tell us about a project you personally drove from an ambiguous problem to a concrete result: what you owned, what you did, and what changed.
