  • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education Required

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and successful completion of the National Certification examination through the National Commission of Physician Assistants. Licensed by the State Board of Medicine in Arkansas. ACLS certification required.

  • Experience

  • One year related experience and/or training.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This job will require working under stress during emergency situations.

  • The Hand & Wrist Center Physician Assistant provides dedicated surgical, hospital, and emergency department support for the Hand Surgeon. The position will primarily support the physician in the operating room as first assistant, complete inpatient and postoperative rounds, evaluate emergency department and other hospital consults, perform appropriate minor procedures within scope and privileges, and assist with perioperative and inpatient follow-up care.

Provides general medical care and treatment to patients in medical clinic under direction of Physician, by performing assigned duties. Attendance is an essential function of this job. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
