Want to join the leader in AI-powered data security?
The MSP Service Creation Manager is Cohesity's subject matter expert in building and launching managed services with MSPs and MSSPs. Working directly with partner executives across product management, service delivery, sales, marketing, customer success, and operations, you facilitate taking a MSP/MSSP from concept to a launched, sellable service. You bring senior credibility in the space: partners need to see you as someone who has built or run successful services practices before, not simply someone selling to them. You have a sales "bend" in that you care about driving a real revenue commitment out of every service you help create, but you are partner-obsessed first, and you make sure every commitment is backed by a solid, achievable business plan rather than optimism. Cohesity’s financial success with MSP/MSSPs is only sustainable if they are successful.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
Building New Services with Partners
- Partner directly with MSP/MSSP executives across product management, service delivery, sales, marketing, customer success, and operations (procurement, billing) and legal to define what a new or enhanced service needs from each function before it launches.
- Guide partners through Cohesity's service creation framework, adapting the process to each partner's structure and maturity.
- Represent Cohesity credibly to senior MSP/MSSP stakeholders, drawing on direct experience running or building successful services practices to earn trust quickly.
Sizing the Commitment
- Work with the partners to build business cases behind new or augmented services.
- For partners that want to hold the Cohesity entitlement, help them size the annual spend commitment for each new or expanded service, grounding it in a realistic, achievable, yet aggressive, consumption plan rather than aspiration.
Running Service Health Checks
- Run service health checks on services already in market, identifying where a partner's existing services can be improved, matured, and made more market relevant. Translate those findings into a concrete plan of action to which the partner agrees to execute on.
- Diagnose friction points in service delivery, pricing, or packaging and recommend concrete changes to partner service design or Cohesity's underlying offer.
Partnering with MSP Account Executives
- Operate in partnership with MSP Account Executives, who own the MSP executive relationships, the annual spend commitment, the annual recommit, and the forecast management thereof.
Building Managed-Ready Offers
- Develop assets and aligned to Cohesity’s Partner Managed-Ready Offer Framework that support service creation and health check engagements. This is done in partnership with Product Management, Product & Solutions Marketing, Partner Marketing, and others, leveraging existing messaging and content for efficiency and to create consistency.
- Leverage AI to work efficiently in development effective, visually appealing content such as positioning slide presentations and business case templates.
- Bring MSP-specific feedback from service creation and health check work back to Cohesity's Product Management team to inform the broader offer roadmap.
WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Prior experience as a product manager at a services organization, or as a general manager, who has chosen to step into a senior individual-contributor role.
- Extensive experience working for or with MSPs and/or MSSPs, with credibility across product, service delivery, sales, marketing, customer success, and operations functions.
- Deep understanding of commercial modeling, including pricing, margin, and consumption economics, sufficient to size a partner's annual spend commitment and vet the business case behind it.
- A sales-oriented mindset balanced with genuine partner obsession, comfortable asking for a revenue commitment while insisting it be realistic.
- Strong facilitation and consulting skills, comfortable running structured discovery and health check conversations with partner executives.
- Domain experience in data protection, cyber resilience, storage, or security markets.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve productivity, organization, and sales effectiveness.
- Willingness to travel as required which could be significant.
- Professional English language proficiency for customer and internal communication.
