Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power BI IT Monitoring & Dashboard Consultant for an urgent, short-term initiative focused on designing and building a consolidated IT operational health dashboard.

This is an ASAP-start consulting engagement through year-end. The successful consultant will be comfortable operating with requirements that are not fully defined and helping determine what should be measured, how data should be collected, and how information should be presented to leadership.

Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize the most valuable infrastructure and operational metrics
Incorporate metrics such as:
CPU utilization
Disk/storage utilization
Patch levels
Infrastructure/system health
Other relevant IT operational KPIs
Identify appropriate approaches for collecting, transforming, and integrating monitoring data
Potentially leverage SQL databases or similar data sources to feed Power BI
Establish automated data refreshes and reporting wherever possible
Evaluate existing internal monitoring pages and examples for potential reuse
Translate loosely defined business and technical requirements into an actionable dashboard strategy
Prioritize functionality based on what can provide the most value within the year-end timebox
Build the solution with maintainability and extensibility in mind so the internal team can continue enhancing it
Clearly communicate what can realistically be accomplished during the engagement
Desired Experience
Strong hands-on Power BI dashboard development
Experience with IT infrastructure and IT operations monitoring
Experience building executive-facing dashboards and reporting
Strong understanding of IT operational KPIs and infrastructure health metrics
SQL and data integration experience
Experience implementing automated reporting and/or automated data feeds
Previous experience creating monitoring dashboards, operational health dashboards, or "single pane of glass" solutions
Ability to work effectively when requirements are still evolving
Ability to independently recommend metrics, visualization approaches, and priorities
Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development is a plus
