Texas Instruments is looking for a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. As a Facilities Technician, you will perform technical tasks in support of engineering and maintenance activities involving the construction, design, specification, startup and operation of the facility's mechanical, chemical and electrical systems or the installation of semiconductor manufacturing tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and Maintain Building Systems: Monitor, operate, and maintain assigned building systems, including troubleshooting and performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure zero impact on manufacturing.

  • Respond to Emergencies and Issues: Respond quickly to potentially critical situations, perform rapid and accurate situational assessments, and troubleshoot system components to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.

  • Ensure Compliance and Safety: Conduct regular inspections to ensure system compliance with safety, regulatory, and company requirements, and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements, including hazardous production material handling and PPE use.

  • Analyze and Optimize System Performance: Monitor and analyze SCADA trends to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential issues in building systems, using data-driven insights to inform maintenance scheduling and troubleshooting.

  • Provide Technical Support and Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for system issues, emergencies, and upgrades, coordinating with contractors and vendors as needed, and provide technical support for 24-hour operations team.

  • Maintain Records and Improve Processes: Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and repairs, and recommend improvements to processes and procedures, including updating Standard Operating Procedures and maintenance logs, to ensure best practices are in place and documented properly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED

  • 18 years of age or older

  • 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to work either 8 hour work schedule or 12 hour compressed work schedule

  • Flexible to work day or night shift that will include one weekend shift and some holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Semiconductor fab experience and knowledge of cleanroom protocols preferred (gas/chemical delivery, vacuum/abatement, chillers, HVAC, and process utilities)

  • Vocational training or certifications (e.g., boiler license) preferred

  • Experience with PLCs, HMI controls, and automated monitoring systems

  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, schematics, and manuals

  • Strong problem-solving mindset, and mechanical aptitude

  • Computer skills for documentation and reporting

  • Physical ability to perform hands-on work, including lifting and outdoor tasks

  • Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and electronic repair skills

  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and stay up-to-date with industry development

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform maintenance decisions, optimize system performance, and predict potential issues

  • Familiarity with AI and ML concepts to assist in the development of condition-based or predictive maintenance models, optimize system performance, and improve overall efficiency

  • Self-starter with minimal supervision required, able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong experience with Hydronics (Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, PCW, HRHW) systems

  • Strong Electrical knowledge

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively interface with various engineering disciplines, technicians, contractors, and management
