Full job description
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the historic facility Help preserve historic features using proper methods Inspect the building regularly for repairs and safety issues Coordinate contractors for specialized repair work Set up and break down furniture for events Handle seasonal grounds work, including snow, leaf, and basic landscaping tasks Order, track, and manage custodial supplies and equipment Perform cleaning tasks beyond routine staff duties (dusting, window washing, spot-cleaning, deep cleaning) Maintain clean, orderly, and public-ready facility at all times Maintain and service the library vehicle Drive materials for outreach, homebound delivery, and partner locations Safely load, unload, and handle library materials Keep delivery logs and reports up to date High school diploma required; maintenance or custodial experience preferred Basic building systems knowledge and ability to perform physical, tool-based tasks Reliable, independent worker with strong problem-solving skills and a valid driver's license
