Full job description

About CBRE and Experience Services:

CBRE is the world's largest commercial real estate services firm. Experience by Industrious is CBRE’s global hospitality business that partners with leading companies and landlords to design and operate workplaces people love coming to. We treat the daily experience of work as a product worth obsessing over, and we build our teams with people who feel the same way.

About the Role:

The Meeting and Events Supervisor leads the team that meets a client's expectations for their events. You lead a team of coordinators and associates, setting schedules, developing staff, and owning the service standard. You absorb escalations, deliver solutions, and hold the service standard so rough moments rarely reach the client. Flexibility is important in this role to support changing event needs and schedules. Your job now is making sure the team runs events well and continuously learns. You will be successful in this role when you keep events across the site running well, resolve escalations before they reach a manager, and grow your team while delivering.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide formal supervision of the events team and oversee recruiting and hiring.

  • Monitor training and development and conduct performance evaluations and coaching.

  • Coordinate daily activities, set schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train the team so event coverage holds.

  • Act as the primary on-site event operations leader, overseeing events from set-up through tear-down.

  • Manage on-site planning and vendors, and verify certificates of insurance before load-in.

  • Ensure event operations comply with location safety and security requirements so attendees and staff stay safe.

  • Deliver events to client requirements and align team outcomes with customer objectives.

  • Identify enhancements and improve event processes, procedures, and systems.

  • Generate reports that measure team productivity and event performance.

What You Need:

  • 5 or more years of experience in meetings and events, with prior supervisory or shift-lead experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, including schedules, assignments, and cross-training.

  • Strong communication skills for client escalation management.

  • Comfortable with standard workplace and collaboration tools (email, documents, spreadsheets, and scheduling)

  • Strong preference for experience supervising event coordinators or associates, a background in corporate meetings and events or hotel conference services, and familiarity with event management platforms and AV logistics.
