Full job description

About Conduit Conduit is an AI agent platform purpose-built for hospitality. Hotels, vacation rentals, and resorts deploy our agents across guest-facing communication and internal operations, running millions of workflows a day. Hospitality is 10% of global GDP and it turns on customer experience. Resolving a guest request immediately is most of that experience, and resolving one means moving across several tools and between several people. That coordination is the work, and it is what our agents do. Role: Founding Recruiter You are our first recruiting hire. We hire two kinds of people, and you will hire both: engineers who build AI agents, and the sales and marketing team that sells them. You own sourcing and first-round screens, then hand the candidates off to the team for the rest of the process. Once we decide to hire someone, you run the offer and help close them. You report to Cole, our CEO and co-founder. Why this role is different

  • Both lanes, one seat. In one week you might screen an agent engineer on retrieval and evals, then qualify an AE on how they actually hit quota.

  • AI-native recruiting. We already run sales outbound on our own stack (Deepline, Amplemarket, HeyReach) and use the same machine for hiring. You take it over and make it better.

  • You build the function. You are the first recruiter. As the team grows, this seat grows into Head of Talent.

What the work looks like

  • Sourcing for every open seat: building lists, writing outreach, running sequences, working referrals.

  • First-round screens across engineering and GTM, with written debriefs the founders can act on.

  • Running loops in ATS: scheduling, interviewer prep, feedback, keeping candidates warm.

  • Offers end to end: comp conversations, references, competing offers, close.

  • Keeping the hiring plan honest: what's open, what's stuck, and why, every week with the founders.

Who you are

  • 2+ years of full-cycle, in-house recruiting, with at least 15 hires you closed yourself.

  • You have hired both engineers and GTM roles, and can show it.

  • You have worked at a VC-backed startup through a growth stretch, ideally one that went from about 10 to 50 people.

  • You can run a credible first-round technical screen. You don't need to code, but you know what a strong answer sounds like.

  • You source with AI tools and pick up new ones quickly.

  • You like closing.

  • This role is in person at our San Francisco office, 5 days a week. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US; we do not sponsor visas.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $140K to $185K base

  • 0.05% to 0.20% equity

  • Comprehensive health insurance and 401k match

  • Dinner covered every day

Interview Process

  • Intro call with Founders (15 min).

  • Sourcing session (45 min). We give you one of our open roles. You build a short list and write the outreach, with whatever tools you'd actually use.

  • Mock screens (45 min). You run two short first-round screens, one engineer and one AE, then tell us who you would advance and why.

  • References.

  • Offer and final call with Founders (30 min).
