Overview

The National Sales Manager manages the US field-based Sales team for Prostate Health. This position develops and executes business plans to support sales for Prostate Health in the United States, in alignment with Division mission, vision and purpose, Division program priorities and overall company priorities.This position ensures the Prostate Health business within the assigned geography is efficient, effective and compliant in meeting the needs of our customers, and develops plans to address and communicate those needs and possible solutions to Division leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of US field Sales staff

  • Develop and implement a business plan which includes goals and objectives for Prostate Health in consultation with the Prostate Health leader

  • Provide clinical, sales, technical product, and business support to customers, Sales staff, and other relevant internal employees

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the strategy for the assigned geography by monitoring metrics and listening to feedback from customers and employees. Take action and resolve issues and gaps quickly, effectively and compliantly.• Develop and maintain relationships with key physicians, national medical bodies, and other appropriate subject matter experts and contacts• Provide training and professional development opportunities for Sales staff• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements• Maintain regular and punctual attendance• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards• Must have effective oral, written and presentation communication skills• Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations• Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Qualifications

Work Experience/Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience to provide a comparable background

  • Extensive experience in sales, marketing, and/or business management within the medical device industry required

  • Previous people management experience required, with sales management experience strongly preferred

  • Previous experience with Urology or with BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) preferred

  • Demonstrate strong business and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Works under general office environmental conditions

  • Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc

  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds or more

  • Significant travel required
