Full job description

About the Role

In this role, you will support the execution and continuous improvement of merchandise presentation strategies across stores. You will partner with the Merchandise Presentation Manager, Space Planning, and cross-functional teams to create clear, customer-focused, and store-ready presentation direction and communications. As a senior coordinator, you will manage complex initiatives, serve as a resource on presentation standards and processes, and identify opportunities to improve sales productivity, brand consistency, and ease of execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute and continuously improve merchandise presentation and space planning strategies that bring Kohl’s merchandising vision to life, supporting sales productivity, brand consistency, and a compelling customer experience across all store formats.

  • Partner with the Merchandise Presentation Manager, Merchants, Space Planning, and cross-functional teams to execute category space planning strategies, including floorplans and planograms, across internal and third-party teams.

  • Lead assigned merchandise presentation initiatives from development through post-execution follow-up, including timelines, reviews, approvals, store communications, and feedback tracking.

  • Create, maintain, and update merchandise presentation standards, visual direction, and store communications in alignment with category strategies and enterprise priorities.

  • Analyze sales, customer, execution, and store feedback to identify opportunities, assess risks, and recommend improvements to presentation effectiveness and ease of execution.

  • Manage complex deliverables across multiple business areas, seasonal transitions, product launches, department resets, mock store sets, and major floor-set transitions.

  • Partner with Space Planning to ensure merchandise presentation direction aligns with floorplans, fixture capacity, and planogram needs.

  • Serve as a subject matter resource for merchandise presentation standards, visual tools, store communications, and execution processes; share best practices and support onboarding and cross-training.

  • Provide project and execution support during peak periods and high-impact initiatives, helping resolve issues and maintain progress against timelines.

  • Ensure presentation direction and communications are accurate, timely, easy to execute, and consistent with established standards.

  • Additional tasks may be assigned.

What Skills You Have

Required

  • Experience in merchandise presentation, visual merchandising, retail operations, or a related field.

  • Understanding of customer-focused merchandising, visual standards, and store execution.

  • Experience creating and maintaining merchandise presentation tools, communications, or store-execution resources.

  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.

  • Ability to use sales, customer, and store-execution insights to support presentation decisions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across functions.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to stores or mock-store environments.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, or related field.

  • Experience in large-format or multi-unit retail environments.

  • Experience with space planning and visual merchandising tools, including Blue Yonder Space Planning and Floorplanning, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or SketchUp.

  • Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis
