This is a combined posting for Associate Laboratory Assistant and Laboratory Assistant. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The Associate Lab Assistant is responsible for completing and maintaining competency in specimen processing and packing, phlebotomy, and client services. Assists in the pre-analytical phase of select testing. Upholds laboratory compliance and accreditation through adherence to established departmental policies and procedures, safety standards, and infection control standards.

Associate Laboratory Assistant

Shift details: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Variable shift

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of a formal Phlebotomy Training Program

  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Phlebotomy experience

Associate Laboratory Assistant Salary Range, Walla Walla, WA : Min: $18.08 , Max: $26.07

Laboratory Assistant

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of a formal Phlebotomy Training program.

  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification.

  • 2 years Phlebotomy experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • upon hire: Phlebotomy Technician - American Society for Clinical Pathology.

Laboratory Assistant Salary Range, Walla Walla, WA : Min: $19.72, Max: $30.17

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
