Hatch is seeking aRail Systems Intern. Reporting to the Infrastructuregroup, you will support offices globally working from our Ambler, PA office location.

Qualifications:
-
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
-
Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
As the successful candidate, you will:
-
Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out tasks for projects in the field of Rail and Transit systems covering: signaling, traction power, communications (Radio, Fiber optics, CCTV, Intercom, Public Announcement), SCADA, Rail Track, Safety Systems Assurance, Systems Integration, and Systems Engineering

Assist with technical design reviews and calculations checks
-
Coordination with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables
-
Assist in the design of power distribution systems
-
Assistance of senior engineers and designers as and when needed
-
Contribute to overall needs for project completion

Improve technical communication and report writing skills
You bring to the role:
-
Interest in rail and transit design as a career
-
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation
-
Extracurricular involvement
-
Knowledge of or experience in a consultancy environment undertaking infrastructure projects
-
Ability to work in a team environment with multidisciplinary interaction
-
Willingness to travel to various Hatch offices and project sites
-
Previous co-op or internship experience is considered an asset
