Job Overview: As a Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator you will contribute to our PCL Industrial Services, Inc. team by promoting a strong safety culture on industrial construction projects. Working closely with project teams, you will help implement and maintain project-specific health, safety, and environmental programs while ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards. This position is responsible for assisting with hazard identification and risk mitigation efforts, conducting field inspections, supporting incident prevention initiatives, monitoring corrective actions, and providing project teams with safety-related information and trends to drive continuous improvement.
Job Functions:

Monitoring and assisting with the implementation of project-specific HSE plan and requirements
-
Providing project team with project specific information and statistics to develop trends and action plans

Assisting with the development and implementation of hazard ID tools (Job Hazard Analysis)

Conducting and documenting project HSE inspections
-
Verifying corrective actions are implemented
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
-
At least 18 months working as an HSE Coordinator.
-
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
-
Compliance with all PCL policies, procedures, and safety rules.
-
Pass a pre-employment physical examination, DOT and/or Non-DOT drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
Skills:

Demonstrate knowledge of construction processes and terminology

Ability to coach and mentor others

Ability to implement HSE processes

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to to identify, provide, and apply conflict resolution
Physical Requirements:
-
Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces above- or below-ground level, such as: towers, vessels, scaffolding, excavations, etc.

Able to carry 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials without assistance.

Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
