Description
Job purpose
To provide Physical Therapy with the overall mission being of high-quality healthcare and support to operational forces at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, NC (Goldsboro, NC) to support the physical therapy operations. Contract for 8-koi; a diverse Florida-based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over 18 years.
Duties and responsibilities

Perform a full range of physical therapy services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.

Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.

Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.

Administer soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology.

Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment.

Record treatment, response, and progress in patient’s chart and/or automated systems.

Coordinate treatment with physicians and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment programs and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient’s health care. Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns, as required.

Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promote positive health behaviors.

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Qualifications

Doctorates Degree required
-
Must have graduated from physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.

Must have completed professional coursework in the specialty area such as Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS).

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have two years’ experience within the last three years as a physical therapist.

Must hold a full, current, valid, unrestricted license (with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions) that abides by the State requirements of the location of performance.
