Salary Range: $25.00 To $34.00 Hourly

Position: Vocational Counselor

The Vocational Counselor is responsible for the delivery of vocational/educational/guidance services. The Vocational Counselor serves as a member of the program’s treatment team.

Essential Duties:

  • Completes vocational/educational comprehensive assessments and quarterly progress reports.

  • Develops and facilitates the implementation of vocational/educational treatment plans for all clients that are consistent with agency standards and comply with applicable administrative rules.

  • Provides individual vocational and educational counseling to clients to further assist them in reaching vocational and educational goals.

  • Conducts vocational/educational group counseling. Performs the actions necessary to start a group, including: group type, purpose, size and leadership, recruiting and selecting members, establishing group goals, and clarifying ground rules for participating.

  • Document the vocational/educational outcome, using accepted methods and instruments.

  • Provide and maintain ongoing communication with all staff members via written communication as well as participate in staff meetings, clinical presentations and other unit meetings.

  • Creates and maintains ongoing relationships with referral sources and other vocational/educational agencies.

  • Bring appropriate issues identified in vocational/educational activities to the attention of clinical counselors, social workers for appropriate therapeutic intervention.

  • In collaboration with the house manager, oversee the application, evaluation and training processes of job functions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CASAC/CASAC-T required, CRC preferred.
