Job Description An Ultrasound Technician, is a healthcare professional who uses ultrasound imaging equipment to produce images of internal organs and tissues by transmitting high-frequency sound waves through the body, allowing physicians to diagnose medical conditions by analyzing these images; their key responsibilities include operating the ultrasound machine, preparing patients for exams, capturing quality images, interpreting findings, and communicating results to physicians while maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

Perm Placement: Ultrasound Tech Job Summary

The Ultrasound Tech performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and provides high quality care for patients of all ages from neonatal to geriatric. Works in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment with reliance on your expertise, professionalism and collaboration. Produces diagnostic ultrasound images in accordance with department scanning protocols under the general supervision of a Radiologist. Interacts with patients, physicians and staff in a professional and friendly manner. Qualifications Education

Degree/Diploma Program of Study Additional Information Additional Educational Requirements Satisfactory completion of an accredited Sonography program.

Additional Experience Requirements (2) years of clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience is preferred. Certification & Licensures Certification / License & State (if applicable) Additional Information ARDMS Certification in at least (1) specialty required BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required* Additional Certification/Licensure Requirements Additional RDMS certification in which the department is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in accordance with the accrediting body’s guidelines.
