Description

We are looking for a Compensation Manager to lead key compensation programs for our manufacturing organization in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This role will shape incentive and pay practices that support business goals, strengthen competitiveness in the market, and promote a strong employee experience. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in compensation strategy, analytics, and program administration, along with the ability to partner effectively with leaders and HR teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of variable pay and incentive compensation programs that support business objectives, employee performance, and retention.

  • Oversee incentive plan operations, including eligibility reviews, payout administration, program documentation, employee communications, and data validation.

  • Manage equity and long-term incentive programs, including coordination with Payroll and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant administration.

  • Analyze market trends, compensation data, and industry benchmarks to develop competitive pay strategies and recommendations.

  • Conduct job evaluations, position classifications, and compensation reviews to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.

  • Participate in compensation surveys and benchmarking initiatives to support salary structure development and ongoing market alignment.

  • Provide compensation guidance and recommendations for new and existing roles across the organization.

  • Develop tools, resources, and training materials to assist leaders and HR partners in compensation decision-making.

  • Administer and support specialized compensation programs and initiatives as needed.

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to address compensation-related matters and align programs with organizational goals.

  • Present compensation analyses, recommendations, and program updates to leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen compensation program effectiveness.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing compensation programs, including incentive plan design, administration, and market benchmarking.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret compensation data, salary surveys, and market trends to guide recommendations.

  • Working knowledge of job evaluation practices, including experience with structured leveling methodologies such as Hay.

  • Familiarity with compensation compliance requirements and applicable federal, state, and local pay regulations.

  • Experience partnering with HR, Payroll, and business leaders to deliver compensation processes and resolve complex pay-related questions.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain compensation concepts to different stakeholder groups.

  • Experience mentoring entry-level team members and leading compensation projects in a complex organizational environment.
