MHS is currently seeking a Wrestling Head Coach for a one-year ancillary position at Middle School (5 th & 6 th grade). The season runs from November to February with practices twice per week in the evening 6:00 p.m - 7:30 p.m. The stipend amount is based on experience and working the entire season.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Driver’s license, in good standing, required.

• Minimum of 3 years of successful coaching experience with demonstrated success in establishing a highly competitive program, while also instilling high-quality character.

• Must have current knowledge of techniques, rules and regulations, and training theory of the sport.

• Demonstrated ability to lead & inspire diverse youth. Experience working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds, preferred.

• Demonstrated exceptional organizational and planning skills.

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and lead a team of coaches.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate & influence in cross-functional settings.

• Ability to build a network to facilitate new and creative opportunities.

• Candidates must be eager to build the program & invest in student talent development year-round.

• Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.
