Solution Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Solution Engineer to join a growing global restaurant brand in Dallas, TX. This is an onsite role 4 days per week.

This position is ideal for an early-to-mid career engineer who wants to grow across software development, cloud technology, AI, and solution engineering. The role will work hands-on with cloud applications, AI and automation, integrations, vendor technologies, and proof-of-concept development.

You will help evaluate and implement new technologies, build and test solutions, support vendor technical assessments, and identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve existing processes. You will also gain exposure to restaurant technology and Oracle Simphony, but prior restaurant or POS experience is not required.

Skills and Requirements

-3+ years of experience in software development or web development, strong candidates with less experience will be considered -Hands-on experience developing applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP -Experience with Python and modern web/application development; React preferred -Understanding of cloud-native and serverless technologies -Hands-on exposure to AI, automation, or AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or CodeX -Experience with GitHub and modern development workflows -Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work with business stakeholders and technical vendors -Desire to grow long-term into broader Solution Engineering/Architecture responsibilities -Observability, monitoring, or logging experience -React / Next.js -Figma -Restaurant, retail, hospitality, POS, or Oracle Simphony exposure -Experience working with international teams
