Position OvePrview: A well-established structural engineering firm in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join their team as a full-time Assistant Project Manager. This role is ideal for a driven structural engineer looking to advance their career by leading projects and mentoring junior team members. You will oversee projects from concept to completion and manage a team of 1–3 staff members. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage structural engineering projects through all phases

Supervise and support a small team of engineers and drafters

Produce structural analysis, designs, calculations, and details

Review project contracts, scopes of work, change orders, and related documentation

Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders

Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Qualifications Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering with Structural or Civil emphasis
-
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California
-
Minimum 3 years of structural engineering design experience

Prior experience managing project teams

Proficiency with structural calculations for commercial, educational, and/or solar projects

Experience using AutoCAD 2015 or newer (2D)

Familiarity with Enercalc and RISA

Competence in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Adobe tools
